Design
My Florida Meadow Co. designs biodiverse Florida native wildflower habitat for open, sunny, upland sites. All of our design work is hand rendered. We begin with a concept plan that includes a plant bloom time spreadsheet followed by a planting plan with a detailed plant schedule. All of our designs are created to be planted with containerized plants and managed with a yearly cutback.
plant layout
There will be a lot of plants! We design projects to be planted abundantly. Planting densely gives good overall coverage sooner, leaving less opportunity for unwanted vegetation. We're here to support you with our optional plant layout service for designs to be installed per plan. So whether you are planting it yourself or hiring a landscape professional, we're here to help with layout on planting day.
Management
We offer light management services for designs that have been installed per plan on sites that have been well prepared before planting. Light management includes routine weeding, adding new species if needed and a yearly cutback by hand. Larger scaled projects to be mowed or burned can be coordinated by the owner.
